Greatly inspired by 18th Century French painter Jean-Baptiste-Siméon Chardin, this series of still life paintings were done with similar techniques from close studies of his previous paintings, particular those that focus on the beauty of the everyday objects that surround us - a beauty that is often taken for granted.
