Hello there! Thanks for dropping by my site! A little about me…

“Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work” - Aristotle

My interest in art first ignited when I was 14 years old. Back then, my medium was simple – colour pencils. I recall creating a kite with bird and flower designs, and coloring for about 10 hours daily for an entire week! I enjoyed the entire process, but not so much for my parents, as they had to replace my colour pencils way too often! Since then, my passion for art grew tremendously.

With my fingers crossed, I enrolled at NTU School of Art, Design, and Media. Words could not describe how grateful I was when I received the acceptance letter! Throughout those 4 years, I had countless sleepless nights, "zombified" days, and dark circles so deep I might have looked possessed. Nevertheless, my passion drove me to perform my best in every single assignment! Alas! Much to my delight, I graduated in July 2013 with the Degree of Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Visual Communications with Second-Class Honors (Upper Division).

After graduation, I joined The Idea Laboratory, a creative agency, as Junior Art Director. Through my daily responsibilities, I have grown to embrace the charm of being a part of the creative industry. There was neither a dull day nor a down day in the office, work was extremely busy and yet filled with so much fun. The long hours spent perfecting my craft was all worth it and meaningful friendships were also forged as we supported one another throughout the entire journey.

Fast forward 9 years, I now have gathered valuable creative experience through my time with Grey Singapore and TBWA\ Singapore. I continue to hone my strategic thinking, concept ideations, and art directions across both offline and online platforms. My interest lies in creating innovative, highly engaging, digitally and socially daring works that are in tandem with the ever-changing communication landscape. One thing that has helped me tide through the various ups and downs is my intrinsic motivation which allowed me to welcome each project with excitement. I derive joy from all the projects I've completed. As a keen learner with a friendly demeanor, enjoy connecting with people from different walks of life and learning about various cultures as well.

My other full-time job is as a mother to my two little bundles of joy, who are also now my greatest motivations in life. With my winning entry from the Singapore Young Lions Competition - Digital Category, I got the dream opportunity to represent Singapore at the Cannes Young Lions Competition 2018 and of course, I brought my firstborn along when she was T-2 months. Her constant kicks in my tummy were taken as a sign of her support when I competed in the Digital Category and winning the shortlist for it was definitely a bonus.

Well, that’s my creative journey in a nutshell. So here I present to you my portfolio. Each of them conveys a different story and possesses a different perspective. Appreciate your time in browsing through them, and if you would like, feel free to drop me a note to get in touch! Have a great day ahead! :)
